Ministries

Our parish is very blessed with those who continue to serve us in various ways. We invite you to share the many blessings of the gift of time to our parish family in any way you choose.

Building Committee

Develops and presents to the parish plans for improving our Church and other buildings.

Communication Committee

Promotes a positive image of the Catholic community through planning and publications, including the bulletin, website calendar of events, and parish directories, and developes relationships with local media.

Education Committee

Responsible for Christian formation of our youth and continuing adult formation in the faith. This includes Sunday catechismal classes and adult education.

Youth Formation Committee

Plans social events for youth and develops a sense of Catholic Christian responsibility for service to others. Activities include fun events and trips, events planned for parish participation and fellowship with youth.

Parish Life and Evangelization Committee

Strengthens the parish community so that we can reach out and share our faith with others. This may include parish meals, food for families after funeral masses, and events that invite past parishioners to return.

Social Action Committee

Raises awareness of the social teachings of the Church through social ministry. Activities include Thanksgiving baskets and the Christmas Angel Tree.

Stewardship Committee

Develops a sense of stewardship of time, treasure and talent in the community, as well as long range plans for the parish, fundraising efforts, and caring for our properties.

Worship and Spiritual Life Committee

Guides our liturgical services and our spiritual development. Actions include encouragement of vocations, formation and coordination of liturgical ministers, and the planning of retreats, workshops and special liturgies.

We also encourage Small Christian Communityinvolvement. This is weekly reflection on and discussion of the scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday in a small group setting that encourages faith sharing and prayer. This does not require any time outside the time spent with the group. No prior study or reading is required. This is nourishment for your spiritual life.

As stewards we are called to spend time discovering, cultivating and sharing our God-given unique qualities. If your talents lie outside these committees, please feel free to offer them as you feel appropriate.

"You are light for the world. A city built on a hill top cannot be hidden"

"No one lights a lamp to put it under a tub. They put it on a lamp stand where it shines for everyone in the house."

"In the same way your light must shine in people's sight, so that, seeing your good works, they may give praise to your father in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16
